Can someone who is a lawyer or studying to be one answer my question please?
To sum it all up, the other day i got an unannounced visit from the father of a little girl i use to watch. Him and his ex-wife(my friend) are going through a custody battle for 50/50 rights. I never met him but i decided to let him in because i live in Arizona and it was over 100 degrees out. He and his daughter come in and he starts asking me questions. At first he seemed like a concerned father, i guess the mother of the little girl never told him i was babysitting for a few months he found out through the four year old girl. The only thing i told him was that the mother dropped her off 2-4 days a week at 4am and i took her to preschool by 11am and i did not know the dates when i started watching her and i don't remember when it ended. All i know is that it wasn't more than 4-5months. Then he started giving me an attitude when i wasn't responding to him correctly. I had company here so i asked him if he could leave because he started getting angry. He left and apologized. Now my boyfriend is best friends with the little girls mom which lives in my apartment complex. The ex came over the other day and tells us the little girls dad wants me, my boyfriend and his self to meet his lawyer because the lawyer wants the official dates of when i started to when i stopped and if i don't go he will subpoena(don't know how it is spelled) me. I told them i didn't want to be part of this court thing and honestly i don't want to go. Do i have to? Is there a way i can get out of this? Should i call my friend(the little girl's mom) and have her and her lawyer come sit in? Someone help me please i don't know how to handle this situation. Thank you.
